You have reached the Ames Research Center Virtual Private Network (VPN) homepage. This web site is intended for employees of NASA Ames Research Center and recognized collaborators from other NASA sites, universities, and private industry.  

VPN offers a number of advantages to telecommuters, employees on travel, and non-Ames collaborators, who need remote access to ARC private network resources. These advantages include the ability to provide "secure network access" with:

  • Standards based Authentication & Encryption
  • Ubiquitous Access Mediums (56K Modem, DSL, Cable Modem, Wireless, Internet Resident)
  • Multi-platform support (Windows, Mac & UNIX OS)
  • Integration with the Agency's PKI infrastructure
